Do you love Mondays, or do you dread them? I tend to look forward to Mondays because it means I have a whole week ahead of me to get my To-Do list done. But I know a lot of people dread Mondays. So, whether your look forward to them or dread them I hope you like today's Moody Monday card.
This week I will be featuring the Earthen Textures Suite of Products. The stamp set has some simple boughs and branches which provide a lot of versatility, and the two pots have beautiful texture, and I also love the two different shapes. But my favorite product in this suite is the Designer Series Paper. The colors are so warm and are perfect to mix and match without the stamps and dies.
For today's Simply Monday card I chose the Moody Mauve DSP as the background for my card front. I have not used this new In-Color much yet, so I decided it was time!
I used the Decorative Circle Punch to create a mask and then with my Blending Brushes made a light Moody Mauve sky over which I stamped one of the branches twice with Pebbled Path ink.
To finish the card, I stamped the birthday sentiment from Go to Greetings (these definitely are a GO TO stamp set). If you don't have this stamp set yet, you "NEED" it. Check it out in the Product List below. It has four different, commonly used sentiments that come in three different sizes so there is always one that is just the right size for your project. Additionally, the Script Fonts are elegant and beautiful!
True to form for Simply Monday, I also kept the inside very simple. I used the same DSP and matted it with a strip of Moody Mauve cardstock.
This sentiment is from another of my "go-to" sentiment stamp sets, Something Fancy. And this particular sentiment is probably one of my favorites. Sometimes birthday sentiments are a little cliche, but I love that this sentiment "nothing fancy, just love" is a little unique and perfect for many different occasions.
