SKETCH WEEK - THINKING OF YOU

This week I am trying something a little different.  Rather than featuring a specific stamp set or bundle, I am going to share cards that all start with the same sketch/layout.

Today is also the Share it Sunday Blog Hop, so if you are hopping along with us, welcome.

My card today was made for a color challenge earlier this month with my Coffee Club.  The colors we were challenged to use were Moody Mauve, Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive.  Of course we can also use any neutrals.  I was running behind when I needed to have the card completed, so as I often do when I'm running late is to pull out one of my favorite card layouts for my starting point.

I like it because it is a great sketch to show off designer series paper.  Here is the card I came up with.

I changed the circle on the sketch to a square from Stylish Shapes and rotated it to be a diamond.  Then I used the Meadow Dies to cut a different sprig from each of the colors in our color challenge.  The two pieces of Moody Mauve designer series paper are from the Fresh as a Daisy and Earthen Elegance DSP Collections.

The Blackberry Bliss Butterfly and the sentiment die cut are also from Meadow Dies.  I added 3 Iridescent Rhinestones to the card front and also wrapped the sentiment a couple of times with Parakeet Party Metallic Ribbon and tied it in a bow.  (Don't tell that I cheated a bit on the color challenge, but I didn't have any appropriate Old Olive Ribbon.)

For just a bit more sparkle I brushed the Blackberry Bliss flower and butterfly with some clear Wink of Stella.

To decorate the inside I added a strip of the DSP matted on Old Olive to the Basic White cardstock. I then adhered the assembly to a Moody Mauve mat.  The Blackberry Bliss butterfly was also cut with a die from Meadow Dies.  I was going to use it on the card front, but decided the front had enough, so I stuck my leftover on the inside of the card.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the Share it Sunday Blog Hop, but before you leave, I'd love to know what you think of my one-stamp card.

    1. Thank you, Mo! I appreciate you all taking time to leave a comment. Unfortunately, I just "found" all of them today so I haven't been responding to ANYONE! It's embarrassing as I see you have left several over the last year (or more)! Now that I know where to find them, I will try to do much better. At least I can't do any worse!
