I am a member of the Klompenstampers and have been participating in the Creativate Retreats since COVID. I think I missed the first one or two but haven't missed one since. If we register early we get a special tutorial package from the Creativate Team. This year the tutorials were for fun folds, and this card uses one of them that was created by Sharon Armstrong.
I love Fun-Fold cards, but I don't always love photographing them. Sometimes they don't want to stand up or the creative fold is difficult to capture in a photo. This is one of those. Love the Fun Fold but photographing it to show it off well was a little difficult. So, I'm just going to share more photos than normal and hope that you can figure it out.
This Fun Fold has a left hand flap and a right hand flap, plus a focal point that is centered over both of them. It looks complicated, but honestly, the most difficult part was cutting all the pieces and figuring out which one fit on each panel.
I created a couple of diagrams that are included in my tutorial that I think make all that a little easier to figure out. Once I figured that out, assembly was easy! You can download a free copy of my tutorial by using this link.
For the focal point panel I embossed the Basic White cardstock with the Softly Sophisticated embossing folder and then used a blending brush to add a little Lost Lagoon color. This helps make the embossed design pop!
In keeping with my bright & happy theme I stamped the larger two-step flower with Lemon Lime Twist leaves and Berry Burst Flowers. I fussy cut it and added it to the focal point with dimensionals.
When both flaps of the card are opened, this is the inside of the card.
The designer series paper is another of the patterns from Masterfully Made. The flower is the other two-step flower included in the stamp set. Both sentiments are also from the stamp set.
A complete list of the products used is shown below.
I hope you have enjoyed the Softly Sophisticated cards I've shared this week. This is one of my favorite Sale-A-Bration choices as I feel it is very versatile. If you have any questions on the cards or the tutorials, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm here to help.
