DRESSED AND READY FOR EASTER

Today we are meeting the Duck Family.  Momma Duck is Hattie and her little one is Harvey.  They are looking forward to Easter and are all dressed up and ready for church.

Their Split Card design adds a little unexpected fun and interest to the card.  If you would like to make a Split Card download this tutorial to learn a trick to make the cutting of the card and the DSP at the same angle easy!

Hattie and Harvey look like they are having a nice chat don't they?  I wonder what they are talking about.  Maybe they are thinking that Mable the Butterfly looks like lunch!  I hope not, but Hattie does seem to have her eye on it!

All the elements on this card are punch outs from the Storybook Memories Designer Series Paper (DSP)  The fence started out as a white picket fence, but I decided to "paint it" with Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie ink.  The Thoughtful Expressions die cut background and the fence were colored with Blending Brushes.

The sentiment on the inside of the card is from a retired stamp set called Blessed Easter.  I don't have a lot of Easter sentiments so I tend to keep the old sets that I have.

The flowers are also punch outs from the Storybook Memories DSP.  I never thought I'd like punch out elements so much until I bought these!
