This week I will be featuring the Storybook Friends Bundle and the beautiful designer series paper that is in the Mega Suite.
Our Storybook friends that we are visiting with today are the Foxx Family. Molly and Mel are all dressed up in their Easter finest and Mel has picked some flowers from their flower patch for Molly.
This diagonal slice card layout is one of my favorites, and I shared how to make it on last week's Learning with Friends Video. If you missed the video, you can still catch the replay.
This diagonal card layout isn't as versatile as some, but there is something about that diagonal stripe that just speaks to me! Molly and Mel are on a die cut made with a Thoughtful Expressions die, but you can use any shape you like for your focal point on the diagonal.
The diagonal is made with one of the designs from Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the background is from Storybook Memories DSP. I chose them because the background matched Molly's cape and hat and the plaid matched Mel's vest and top hat.
Molly, Mel and their flowers are from the Storybook Memories DSP. This DSP collection includes two sheets that have figures that you can punch out. While I love stamping and coloring my images, these punch-outs make your handmade card creations so quick and easy.
They make quite the handsome couple in their Easter duds, don't they?
I used a strip of the Timeless Plaid DSP to decorate the inside of my card as well as the flap on the envelope. My favorite Easter sentiment "He is not here but is Risen" has been retired forever. This was one of the first stamps I purchased after becoming a demonstrator 18 years ago. It is so old it is wood mounted, but its message will never grow old!
