Do you have friends or family that love to display the handmade cards you make for them? If so, they will love today's Tower Fun Fold.
Once you get the fun fold base of the card created, there are many different ways to decorate it. I chose to use the Autumn Opulence Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Autumn Woodland Glimmer Specialty Paper.
I kept the front of the card simple by layering a couple of the Scalloped Blooms die cuts. They were die cut the same size and rotated one scallop, so you see the back Cajun Craze layer die cut peeking out between the scallops of the Very Vanilla cardstock.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Scalloped Blooms Stamp Set. You can never have too many birthday cards!
Does the Tower Fun Fold look scary? I'll admit, it was a little intimidating the first time I tried it, but it's easier than it looks. Watch my video below to learn how it's done.
I had a difficult time choosing between two different DSP designs when I made today's card, so, for the video I used the other design from Autumn Opulence that I was debating between. Which you do you like best?
There is no "inside" to this card, so we use the back of the center panel for the message layer.
I covered the two side panels on the back of the Tower Fun Fold with the same DSP used on the front side panels. To further tie the back to the front, I added a couple of scraps from the front horizontal DSP to the bottom of the message layer.

I have been using the Sentimental Wishes Bundle all week. One Monday we saw the candles. Wednesday's card spotlighted the cute stocking. Today's card features the last main stamp in the stamp set, the holly branch.
The Designer Series Paper DSP) on this Tower Fun Fold, Sentimental Christmas, is from the same suite of products as the stamp set and dies. With every purchase of this very versatile Christmas Paper Stampin' Up! donates $3 to Children's Literacy. Click on the DSP image in the Product List below to see all the designs that are in this Collection. It has a great variety of colors and images.
I highly recommend checking out this full Sentimental Christmas Suite. It is very economical for a suite and the coordinating accessories (Shaded Spruce Ribbon, and Drusy Embellishments) are gorgeous. I used the Shaded Spruce ribbon on this card but used Blooming Pearls as my embellishments as I like their color with this particular card. But, I have to say, if you love sparkle, the silver & gold Drusy Embellishments in the Suite are super sparkly
Today's card is aTower Fun Fold. It's looks a little complicated, but it is actually MUCH easier than you might think.
I demonstrated the Tower Fun Fold in a Learning with Friends video near the end of August, but these videos always to continue to be available on my YouTube Channel.
As you have probably figured out, there isn't an "inside" to the Tower Fun Fold, but remember the back is always available to share our sentiment and message.
To continue the fun on the front of the tower, I decorated the back with the same Sentimental Christmas DSP.
Do you like sending cards to special friends and family that you know love to display your cards?
This Tower Fun Fold is perfect for displaying.
I know this fun fold may look complicated, but it much easier than you might think. I demonstrated how to make it on a Learning with Friends video recently. You can watch the replay here.
Once you complete the fun fold structure of the card, it is fun and easy to decorate with Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used a combination of the Country Woods DSP on the sides and Country Lace DSP on the front.
As I showed on the video, the center of the tower can be decorated in many ways. For today's cards I chose to use two circles cut with the Spotlight on Nature dies.
Flowers from the Flower Market are displayed in a bucket sitting on a worn looking stool made from the Country Woods DSP. A few flower petals have fallen from the bouquet, but still look pretty laying on the stool.
You may be wondering where you can write a message to your "BEST FRIEND EVER". Flip the card over and you will have a place for your message.
I hope you will watch the video and learn how to make this Tower Fun Fold. Also, download the free PDF tutorial at this link. It includes a link to the video so you will always have both.
