A couple of weeks ago on Connect to Create I shared a Technique that Embossed Toilet Paper. I had never done this technique before making that video and had so much fun practicing that I got a little carried away.
As a result, I have many leftover toilet paper embossed backgrounds, so I thought I would try to use one of them today.
While practicing the technique, I used the two Elegant Eucalyptus embossing folders, and this is one of them. After I glued a section of the embossed TP to a die cut circle, I trimmed the toilet paper around the circle. I then made a scalloped frame from Soft Succulent cardstock using the Layering Circle Dies and adhered it with liquid adhesive to the top of the TP.
These Layering Circle Dies are also on the Last Chance List, and I am so sad to see them go! They have been one of my go-to products for years!
The butterfly from Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set was stamped with Black Memento ink on Basic White cardstock and then colored with Pale Papaya Stampin' Blends.
To decorate the front of the Soft Succulent card base, I used some 2021 - 2023 In-Color Designer Series Paper that I had in my stash. We are also saying goodbye to the 21-22 In-Colors -- except for Fresh Freesia which is joining the Subtles Color Family as a permanent member.
It is always sad to say goodbye to some of our favorite products, but it is also exciting to see what new things we are going to be able to play with.
The sentiment on today's card is from the Flowering Tulips stamp set, another set on the Last Chance List. I chose it because of its versatility and the fact that it fit perfectly in the circle that I wanted to use. I liked how the two circles, and the butterfly completed my design triangle.
But I sort of felt like my butterfly needed a little something to draw the eye to him. The two "tails" of Pale Papaya Faux Velvet Trim seemed to help do that. What do you think?
