ENJOY A REGAL WINTER

I am hoping that with each "Enjoying Little Things" card that you see this week you will come to appreciate the versatility of this stamp set.  And as a bonus it is on the LAST CHANCE LIST at a reduced price!

Today's card is a bit of a twist on the Book Binding Fun Fold.  The center panel opens along the fixed "book binding" panel.  But rather than the center panel opening like a book, you pull the left edge of that panel to the left and it opens in a bit of a backwards "Z".

The three floral stamps on the center panel were stamped in a circle around the Spotlight on Nature die cut with Pretty Peacock, Bubble Bath and Berry Burst.  The Teapot in the center of the flowers was stamped with VersaMark on a Basic White scrap and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  Since there are no coordinating dies with this set, I fussy cut it and popped it up with a dimensional.

The sentiment from "Enjoying Little Things" was stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink.  The sentiment was positioned on the left side of a Something Fancy Die and die cut.  After adhering to the center panel with dimensionals, the right edge of the sentiment was trimmed even with the edge of the center panel.

If you continue to pull the center panel to the left, the "Z fold" stretches to review the Happy Birthday sentiment from Unbounded Love on the inside of the card.

Not all of the products are LAST CHANCE, but just remember those that are LAST CHANCE   are only available while supplies last.  Once they hit the Last Chance List we never know how long they are going to be around.

FOREVER FOREST SYMPATHY CARD

This week I will be featuring the Forever Forest Stamp Set and Dies, and today's card is a simple Fun Fold.

There are different versions of the Side Step Fun Fold, but this has to be the easiest that I've found.  Some require complicated cutting and scoring, but not this one.  A big shout out to Connie Stewart from the Creativate Team for showing this simpler version.

I made it even quicker and easier by using the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper (DSP).  The only stamping was the sentiments.

Since the Forever Forest stamp set does not include sentiments, my sentiments are from the Unbounded Beauty Stamp Set from the current catalog.  This set has quickly become my go-to sentiment set as it has a great variety of sentiments with coordinating ones for the front and inside of the cards.  Check it out by clicking on the image in the Product List below.

This simple version of the Side-Step Fun Fold is actually made with two separate card "bases".  For all the details, you can download a copy of my FREE TUTORIAL by using this link.

I know the Fresh Freesia Tree is a bit of a "unique" color for a pine tree but I liked the little pop of color it gave, so I figured "why not"?  It's my card, and I can take creative liberties, right?

I made the tree using two layers of cardstock to give it a little extra support where the top extends above the side-step folds.  Adhesive sheets are excellent when adhering detailed die cuts like this tree together.  But, if you don't have adhesive sheets, you can always use a little sponge to apply Multi-Purpose Glue to one of the layers.

Since there is no "inside" to this card, the backside works great as a place to write your message.  I used another strip of the DSP to add a bit of extra decoration, and again the sentiment is from Unbounded Beauty.  The die cut tree on the card front adds a little more interest to the back as it is peeking above the fold.

The beautiful Thoughtful Journey DSP is one of the collections that is 15% off during August.  This DSP is gorgeous and is wonderful to make quick and simple cards because the scenic designs do most of the work for you.  I love it so much I bought a 2nd pack!

WATCHING THE NORTHERN LIGHTS IN THE GROVE

This week I am sharing cards made from a new bundle called In the Grove.  This bundle coordinates well with the Grassy Grove Stamp Set & Dies that carried over from the 23-24 Annual Catalog.  I really like stamp sets like these because they can be used to create beautiful scenery cards that make you feel like an artist!

The background for today's card was made using the Salted Background Technique that I shared on Learning with Friends a few weeks ago.  If you missed that video here is a link to the video on my YouTube Channel.

This Salted Background Technique is easy and makes interesting backgrounds.  It wasn't planned to look like the Northern Lights, but after I made the card that is what it reminded me of.   I think I need to try it again with some colors that would be even more likely to be in Northern Lights.

The birch trees on this card were made with a die from In the Grove.  I'm not sure if the animal peeking out from behind the trees is a fox or a wolf, but I stamped him in Gray Granite, so I'm calling him a wolf and naming him Ash.   The cute little bunny sitting by the pines is die cut with an In the Grove die.  There is not a bunny stamp, but I thought he needed at least an eye and a nose, so I just used a black Stampin' Write Marker and gave him one of each.  Since he is white, let's call him Marsh, short for Marshmallow.

Marsh looks like he is hiding behind the pine trees so Ash doesn't see him, but they are actually friends, so I'm not worried about Marsh becoming Ash's lunch!  I think they are just playing hide-and-seek.

Since there are not greetings included in the In the Grove stamp set, both my front and inside sentiments are from the Unbounded Love stamp set.  I think this will make a great masculine birthday card, don't you?

The Gray Granite woodgrain designer series paper that I used on the front of the card base, the envelope flap and above on the inside of the card is from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper Collection.  It's how I decided what color Ash needed to be.
